Tips : Preventing Panic Attacks - Help on the Web
Preventing panic attacks is a worthwhile exploration because as with everything in life, prevention is better than cure.
Whether you treat your panic attack episodes with medication or alternative remedies, wouldn't it be lovely to live free of them altogether?
A lot of people go in for deep breathing exercises and classes like yoga & pilates to help them prevent an attack from starting , but all this does is calm the body. The mind is still over actively thinking and worrying about rational & irrational things leading to anxiety & panic.
It has been scientifically proven that rational thought is located in the front of the brain and that irrational thoughts & fear etc are located mid-brain.
Studies have shown that when a panic attack starts all the activity rushes to the mid brain rendering the sufferer full of fear and irrational thinking.
Since science has been taking more interest in the study of panic attacks, a lot more research has been done and ways of preventing panic attacks have come to the fore.
There are many websites out there that can help you discover ways to help yourself from ever having a panic attack again.
But what I think is most important are the websites that explain what cause panic attacks and therefore why their 'cures' or preventions will work.A lot of the sites recommend strategies that you yourself can implement without you having to join classes or take any form of medication.Try to take advice from a site where the owner has been a panic attack sufferer themselves, then at least they know what they're talking about!See is you can detect a satisfied customer rating and read some success stories if possible . This safeguards you, in case the site is selling a book or product, as you don't want to be wasting your money.Take your time browsing the web and bookmark what seem good sites as you search so that you can return to those that appeal to you.Good luck, with your search for preventing panic attacks.

Tips : No More Panic Attacks - 5 Tips to End the Anxiety for Good
For a good portion of my life I've had to deal with the embarrassment and lonliness that panic attacks caused me to feel. Mind racing, heart pumping anxiety that made me feel like I never wanted to leave the house! All this changed after I discovered an amazing book to cure my disorder! Here's some helpful things you might find beneficial:
Five ways to end the attacks fast:
1) First up...SLOW DOWN! The world is already racing by us at a fast enough rate without you adding to the problem. Take a moment and breathe, count down from ten slowly with your eyes closed, and just realize that the panic will subside soon.
2) The majority of attacks are more mental than physical. You need to remember this and focus on beating your mind at this game. You aren't dying, you can breathe, and you will get through this, but you need to focus and be strong.
3) Chances are pretty good that the reaction you are having is actually much greater than the symptoms you are feeling. Once you come to terms with the fact you are most likely overreacting to the situation, you'll be able to recover and beat the problem much better!
4) Try and take your mind off the problem. To do this I will try and go to outside and get some fresh air, or at least to a nearby window so I can see outside. Take a look around, and observe nature at peace (if possible) watch the clouds, take a look at the trees, birds, dogs, you name it...anything that will help you take the focus away from your current attack.
5) One of the best things I can recommend is to keep a panic journal, a written diary of all the things that come to your mind during an anxiety attack. This way you can look back through each attack and look for a certain trend or "trigger" that keep occurring and setting your bells and alarms in to a frenzy. Once you can figure this out, you'll also find you are able to deal with the panic attacks better.
These are just a few of the many strategies that exist out there, but the truly powerful stuff will blow you away at how easy it is to truly beat panic attacks! More on that later, in the meantime...Good Luck and Here's to the Future!
